Nintendo Exclusives
The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
So let’s start things off with the one the whole office is excited for – The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom. The Breath Of The Wild sequel, which we had prayed would come this year as we included it on last year’s list of anticipated games, is finally arriving on May 12th2023.
Even though it’s coming soon, Nintendo are still keeping their cards close to their chests. Little is known about the game, except for the exciting fact we’ll be exploring the skies above the vast lands of Hyrule. It’s The Legend of Zelda, we’d be excited about anything it does at this point!
Disney: Illusion Island
Disney: Illusion Island really doesn’t need a sales pitch. Be a part of an authentic Mickey & Friends adventure with its hand-drawn animation, orchestral original score, and authentic voicing. Better yet, feel the magic of vintage Disney cartoons in the palm of your hands on your NintendoSwitch as you run, swim, swing and jump your way around the mysterious island of Monoth.
With 4-player co-op fun, you can team up with your friends to play as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy to search for the three books of knowledge and save the island from danger. We’re even more excited than we were when we started writing this.
PlayStation Exclusives
Horizon: Call Of The Mountain
If Aloy’s adventures in the forbidden west wasn’t enough, we’re getting an entirely new adventure set in the Horizon universe in 2023! The story will be told through the eyes of an entirely new character, while you will also meet Aloy, other familiar faces, and new characters along the way.
Call Of The Mountain will be a VR adventure, too, which means we might be spending our cosy nights in battling robotic dinosaurs right there in our living rooms? How cool is that!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: MilesMorales have been on heavy rotation at Venom HQ for what feels like forever. We love them. And Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has us even more excited. Whilst there’s not a lot to know, we do know we’ll get to play as both Peter Parker and MilesMorales. AND, we’ll even get to face-off against the world’s most famous (and dangerous) symbiote…Venom!
Xbox Exclusives
The Last Case of Benedict Fox
Descend into a limbo of decaying memories. Dive into a twisted world of secret, organisations, forbidden rituals and cold-blooded murders. And depend on the memories of victims to search for clues. Yep, we’re on the edge of our seats already, too.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox will see you fight demons and solve puzzles in this Metroidvania inspired by Lovecraft, noir fiction, and early 20th century jazz. We’re not the only ones excited about taking on the last case of Benedict Fox either, it won the ‘Most Wanted XboxGame’ at the 2022 Gamescon awards.
Starfield
So we might’ve jumped the gun with last year’s list of anticipated games, because Starfield is now scheduled to drop in 2023! But hey, we’re that excited for the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda, the creators of Skyrim and Fallout. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, you’ll create any character you want and explore the universe with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.
