GTA 5 was released 7 years ago. It's now the all-time best-selling game in the UK. We don't know anyone who hasn't played it! It's safe to say that the Grand Theft Auto 6 rumour-mill is well and truly turning, and a new instalment is getting overdue. Some of these rumours are little more than gossip and speculation, but one particular Reddit poster has caught our attention. Here's what we know, the GTA 6 rumours we think could be true, and what we'd like to see...

The Game Exists

If one thing is for sure, it's that GTA 6 is coming. It's shown up on a former Rockstar employee's resume, the company are constantly recruiting for dev roles, and former voice cast members have also mentioned it in passing.

We Might Get a Trailer Sooner Than We Thought

In a job ad last week, the guys at Rockstar were recruiting for a trailer editor. Not much else is in the pipeline now that RDR2 is out in the wild, so there can't be anything else left to work on but GTA 6. We Think It Could Arrive in 2021

The next generation of consoles is coming, and most AAA titles in the works will be coming to the Xbox Series X and PS5. It would be reasonable to assume we'll see a new Grand Theft Auto Game in 2021. Having said that, an Austrian retailer with a tendency to leak games before they are announced did appear to publish a now-removed listing for GTA 6 which stated 'Coming 2020'. Interesting.

No, CJ isn't Returning

It Could Be Set in Vice City, or Even Multiple Locations

More than one leak, including a now-deleted Pastebin upload and a cryptic review of Rockstar Games on Glassdoor, points to a game with multiple locations. Who wouldn't love to fast-travel between Los Santos and Vice City in seconds? We've also read talk of multiple time-periods within the game including the 1970s, and even time travel - we'll wait and see if that one is true!Do you think these GTA 6 rumours are true?
