Team Venom Raises Money for Special Effect!

It's not often that we talk about ourselves here on the Venom blog, but today is an exception! Our very own David (Senior Designer) and Marc (Logistics Manager) were pounding the pavements of London on Sunday 21st July, representing Venom in the British 10k to raise funds for the charity Special Effect.Special Effect work closely with those with disabilities who have an interest in gaming, they assess the needs of people and then using special technology, they’re able to “match, modify or create equipment to lend to them, and give support so they can get the best out of it”.Whilst the rest of us were enjoying a lazy Sunday and marvelling at the rare UK sunshine, David and Marc were putting us all to shame. They ran 10k around London along with 10,000 other runners, to raise money for the incredible charity.Special Effect relies solely on donations. All the remarkable work they do is free of charge, and equipment is either loaned out or recommended by them. Items can range from joysticks, to eye control systems and to adaptive controllers (plus many more)! We’ve surpassed our target of £200 but if you want to donate to this worthwhile charity then follow the link to visit our Just Giving page.Great job, David and Marc! For more information on Special Effect, who they are, what they do and how you can get involved visit their website.
