EGX

EGX is back for another year as the UK's Biggest Gaming Event and was at the ExCel Centre in London between 17th-20th October. Spanning the whole long weekend therefore as a result meant those present could get their hands on major blockbusters and also indie games.

EGX has been going strong since 2008 and has expanded from 4000 attendees to 80,000 attending the 2018 show. Making it a great opportunity for developers from all kinds of genres to have their games available for playing, as a result some got to showcase for the very first time. From the Main Show Floor all the way to Transfuzer who bought their best graduate development teams to showcase their prototypes, therefore opening up the next generation of developers, there's something for everyone at EGX.

Main Show Floor

The main show floor was absolutely packed with some of the biggest releases in gaming, so there was something available for everyone to enjoy. For example these included;

Rezzed Show Floor

Gaming conventions aren't just for the major releases, in addition to the main floor dedicated Rezzed area meant over 150 indie games were playable. Included in this area were games for instance were;

Experiences

Coca Cola

Coca Cola teamed up with the Premier League this year and attendees were certainly loving it. Meanwhile the Official Premier League Trophy was on the stand for people to take their pictures with whilst the newest edition of EA Sports FIFA 20 was available. Also a penalty shootout game for people to test their skills for the chance of winning "amazing Premier League Prizes"

Cyberpunk 2077

First of all it should be a surprise to nobody that Cyberpunk 2077 had a huge presence this year and as a result a 48 minute demo of the game was shown. Throughout the demo we're reminded that what we're watching is a "Work In Progress" so it does not represent the final look of the gameCD Projekt Red gave viewers a glimpse of the character creator system, where players can alter their appearance and also choose a backstory. Fair warning when choosing your back story though as this will impact the story later on and change your experience.The demo was, as expected, containing many glitches but as it's not the final version this had to be expected. The details were rich and hype for the game continues to impress even though it isn't available until April 2020.

Death Stranding

With not long left to wait for the highly anticipated Death Stranding, as a result, it's not surprising they would be taking main stage this year. Shrouded in mystery in typical Hideo Kojima fashion we at least know the main aspect of the storyline, everything else though - we're just going to have to wait and see. Further with every demo, trailer or gameplay footage released interest is piqued in the gaming industry.Don't miss out on Death Stranding: Everything we know so far - COMING SOON

The Dark Room

It's not all about video games at EGX, during the weekend "The Dark Room" made an appearance for the first time ever at EGX. It's a "cult-hit, live-action, text-based adventure game" set in a Dark Room so your objection is to locate a light switch in order to escape.

Tranzfuser

Present for their fourth consecutive year Tranzfuser brought the best graduate games development teams. The opportunity to showcase their prototypes meant that they were given the chance to get their foot in the door. Titles included here were;
