Every 5th November, we celebrate Bonfire Night by lighting up our skies with the most colourful displays we can conjure up. As the days get colder and the nights darker, huddle up under a blanket and experience all the fireworks displays you need in these five video games.

Fireworks Factory – Spyro: Year Of The Dragon

Okay, so this one isn’t technically a fireworks display. But hear us out, because it’s a whole lot of fun!

Why sit and watch fireworks go off in the sky when you can shoot them at enemies instead? In Spyro: Year Of The Dragon’s FireworksFactory, you suit up as everyone’s favourite purple dragon on a quest to stop a rocket and save an egg. Yes, you read that right.

Fireworks Factory is one of the funniest levels in the game. You get to shoot enemies with fireworks and watch their colourful explosions every time. It’s like you’re setting up and setting off your own display. Who thought being a Dragon would be this much fun?

Summer Update – Planet Coaster

Nothing beats the warm fuzzy feeling you get from a rollercoaster ride. The wind’s rushing through your hair, the blood is pumping through your veins and there’s fireworks exploding all around you. Wait, what?

In Planet Coaster, anything’s possible. Whether you want to recreate the wonder of Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After fireworks extravaganza at Disney World or simply scare your park guests silly with fireworks that go through rides, the opportunities are endless.

If you’d rather sit back and relax as displays explode, simply set up your fireworks and watch on as your guests clap and cheer.

Bonfire Night is all fun and games until you’re standing in a field freezing cold. If you’d rather get tucked up under a blanket with some toffee apples, Fireworks Mania has you covered.

Fireworks Mania puts the gunpowder in your hands. You’re armed with all the explosives you could ever dream of and sent out to set them off around your city.

Whether you’re blowing up a barn, burning down your neighbour’s house or kicking back and creating the display of your dreams; the worlds your oyster in this one.

Day Eleven – Final Fantasy XIII

Final Fantasy XIII isn’t just about saving your sister from the government. It’s not just about avoiding being turned into a crystal either. It’s about fireworks – and lots of them!

There’s a level filled with dozens of missions for you to complete, where you’ll be rewarded with fireworks. It’s a good thing, too, because some of the game’s most beautiful moments will need all the colourful firepower you can collect.

If you’ve ever wanted to watch a Fireworks display from within them, swirling around every burst of colour, you’ll get to during Snow’s proposal to Serah. If that wasn’t enough, you’ll get to watch the same display several times from different eyes.

This could be the most beautiful CGI display we’ve ever seen.Don’t believe us? Go see it for yourself.

Fireworks Festival – Animal Crossing

Is there anything more adorable than your villagers dressed up in bopper hats as fireworks light up your island’s sky? We didn’t think so.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, fireworks aren’t just for bonfire night; they’re for life. Tom Nook thinks they’re so fantastic; there’s a Fireworks Festival every August for you and your animal chums.

All you have to do is visit Resident Services every Sunday at 7 pm in August and speak to Isabelle. You’ll be able to set up and watch your custom fireworks display, wear an adorable bopper hat and win prizes inRedd’s Raffle.

We know Bonfire Night is a Friday this year. We know it’s November. But don’t worry, you can still make the magic happen via time travel using your Nintendo Switch settings. Here’s all you need to know:

1.    Select System Settings.

2.    Scroll down to the bottom and select System.

3.    Select Date and Time.

4.    Make sure “Synchronize Clock via Internet” is set to “Off.”

5.    Change the Date and Time to whatever you want!

So wrap your villager up warm, gather up your pals, and experience the explosion of joy!
