Remember, remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot; I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.
Every 5th November, we celebrate Bonfire Night by lighting up our skies with the most colourful displays we can conjure up. As the days get colder and the nights darker, huddle up under a blanket and experience all the fireworks displays you need in these four video games. Need more firework display fun to celebrate with? Check out last year’s choices here.
The Entire Game – Minecraft
What makes Minecraft so magical is the fact it’s the biggest sandbox for you to play in ever. And whilst standing out in the freezing cold watching fireworks sounds like fun, you can be curled up on the sofa, hot cocoa in hand, setting off your own displays across your Minecraft kingdom.
That’s right –there’s no level to reach, no waiting for that moment. You can be your very ownGuy Fawkes and set the night sky alight with fireworks whenever you want. All you need is gunpowder, paper, and a firework star.
Fireworks stars can be crafted by combining one unit of gunpowder with your choice of colour dye – so you can fully customise your show! Once you’ve got all your ingredients, throw them on your crafting table and for every unit of each ingredient you use, you’ll get three fireworks.
Want to make yourBonfire Night even more special? Try experimenting with diamonds, feathers, and gold nuggets.
Firework Spectacular – Disneyland Adventures
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of holidaying in the home of Mickey Mouse himself at Disneyland, you’ll know the nightly firework displays are not to be missed. There’s just something about seeing the iconic castle lit up by a dozen different colours that makes you feel all magical and warm inside.
And thanks to Disneyland Adventures, you don’t have to dash off to Florida for them. You can spend your Bonfire Night enjoying a feast of Disney fireworks from the comfort of your couch.
Head on down to the flagpole on Main Street to start up the excellent ‘Firework Spectacular’ mini-game. You’ll be launching a whole barrel of gunpowder at targets in the sky, setting off all the Disney-themed fireworks you can think of.
The Pyrotechno Weapon – Far Cry 6
The Far Cry franchise is famous for letting us gamers cause chaos across beautiful places. And Far Cry 6 is no different. Whilst the game’s gritty experience of an modern-day guerrilla that sees you take down a Dictator is dark and dramatic, if you can get your hands on the Pyrotechno weapon, you can have all the fun of the fair on Fireworks Night.
Who needs bullets to win the revolution when you can use fireworks? The Pyrotechno lets you shoot off fireworks at your enemies, exploding into a wild light show for all to enjoy in the process.
And how do you unlock this special weapon? Simply reach ‘Rank 4 – Espia’ and craft it up using 100 Uranium. Have fun folks, and uh, don’t try this at home!
Carnival Of Time – Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
When it comes to playing Legend of Zelda games, Majora’s Mask is the cherry on top of the cake for many. The three-day cycle in Clock Town ends with a bang – literally! – with the Carnival of Time. Whilst the demonic moon comes crashing to the Earth, why not celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime moment with a vibrant firework show, right?
People come from all over Termina to celebrate the harmony between nature and time, whilst praying for a good harvest. The Carnival of Time takes place on the dayof your adventure, as long as the moon does not fall after the Final Day. Youcan even get a history lesson on it all from Granny!
But if you want to see the Fireworks, simply move time forward with the Scarecrow until the night of the Third Day and go to the Clock Tower. Hop up to the platform in front of the tower and at midnight, you’ll see a fireworks display that’ll knock your socks off.
Honourable mention - Fireworks Simulator
The difference between firework simulator and the other games on the list is fireworks are an added bonus, whereas firework simulator ... well, it's in the name, it's all about simulating fireworks with the ability to completely curate your own firework display from the warmth of your bedroom.
